Land Clearing

At Bigfork Lawn & Fence, we possess the necessary equipment and attachments to transform small trees, bushes, brush, and various vegetation into mulch. This mulch can then be evenly distributed across your land, enhancing soil fertility. Forestry mulching serves as an effective method to clear your property, eliminating underbrush and fallen debris, thereby reducing fire risks and damage.

Fires have been suppressed for so long that its benefits have turned disastrous. Instead of ground fires passing through our forests and clearing out debris and small trees, it now has access to the canopies of mature trees via ladder fuels. 

We will determine the density of ladder fuels and  hazardous fuel loading and come up with a plan to remove these fuels creating a more resilient forest.

Bigfork Lawn & Fence is dedicated to aiding community members in cultivating thriving and enduring forests on their properties. Our services encompass tree species inventory, land management plan development, and assessment of the intrinsic value of your natural assets. 

Grant funding is available to landowners in Flathead County & Lake County seeking hazardous fuel reduction. Typically, funding can cover half the cost of a project greatly assisting landowners financially. More information about these organizations can be found at the link below.
